POST THE FOLLOWING IN A GOOGLE DOCUMENT TITLED "SHOE BOX FINAL" + YOUR NAME:

1. Title of your box.

2. Image of your assemblage box (click here to view the box images).

3. Written text of your literary artist statement. (3 paragraphs)
A literary artist statement addresses each of the following areas:
  • Introductory paragraph stating the subject and theme of the box.
  • body paragraph that uses literary tools to analyze and explain how the title and two or more elements in the work establish the theme of the work and one connection between your work and a work studied this year in class. (tip: look for literary allusion)
  • a concluding paragraph that explains the creative process you used to create your box.

An artist statement is a short piece written by the artist to accompany a work of art. Its purpose is to provide
information that will add to the viewer's understanding and appreciation of the work. A literary artist statement contains the same
information as an artist statement but also uses literary tools such as diction, symbolism, tone, and plot to analyze and explain the theme of the work.
